Registration and Cancellation Policy

The number of retreat attendees is now limited to allow for social distancing in the sewing room.

You need to stay at the Blue Gate Garden Inn to attend the quilt retreat. We have a group rate listed under Shipshewana Quilt Retreat.  Please call the hotel directly and ask for “reservations” to reserve your room.  If you have any problems, please let me know.

Registration payments can be made using any credit/debit card

Cancellations sometimes happen for a variety of reasons.

  • Please make your cancellation in writing (email is fine, but if you don’t receive an acknowledgment within three business days please email again and/or send snail mail.) All cancellations are subject to a $25 processing fee.
  • Cancellations 90 days before the start of the retreat will receive a full refund (less processing fee).
  • Cancellations 89-60 days before the start of the retreat will receive a 50% refund (less the processing fee).
  • There is no refund for cancellations received less than 60 days before the start of the retreat – no exceptions and that includes Covid-19.

I reserve the right to cancel a retreat 5 weeks prior to the event if there is not a minimum number of guests registered and refunds will be issued.  There will be no refunds if the event is canceled 30 days before the event due to circumstances beyond my control, such as the weather, government-mandated shutdowns, or the moon crashing into the earth……..stuff like that as a contractual obligation with the hotel will still need to be paid.   

Any registration not paid 5 weeks before the start of the retreat will be automatically canceled.
